As of the Summer 2022, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline can be dialed or text using the phone number: 988.  Their website is 988lifeline.org.

The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is a United States-based suicide prevention network of over 160 crisis centers that provides 24/7 service via a toll-free hotline with the number 9-8-8. It is available to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress.

  • SAMHSA – National Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration is a free, confidential 24/7, 365 day-a-year treatment referral and information service for individuals and families facing mental/or substance use disorders.  Their national hotline is 1-800-662-HELP  (4357) or text your zip code to 435748 to find help near you.
  • Alcoholics Anonymous - provides assessment of drinking behavior – information on face-to-face and online meetings – education on the 12 steps and related readings
  • Narcotics Anonymous  - provides assessment of substance using behaviors – information on face-to-face and online meetings – education on the 12 steps and related readings
